The enemy hero lost all of his creatures. You received credit for them. I think that's how it should be... Seriously, you defeated his army, scattered them across the forests and fields, killed whoever you found, and so on. You received experience for it, which is fair. However, if this happened during a ransom, then yes, that would be unpleasant.
Everything is fair from a logical point of view. But, from a gameplay perspective, since no regular experience is given in the case where the opponent's hero flees without losing a single creature, it seems unfair to other heroes who, in Jira's place, would receive nothing. On the other hand, this can be considered a feature of this hero, and it can be argued that this is how it should be. It doesn't really create any major imbalance; ultimately, it's up to the mod creators to decide.
