Regarding the Veles Book, I would argue against its authenticity. The material seems too dubious. However, I can tell you a story about archaeological excavations.
During my first year of university, we had a practical training session at Chicha. It's a settlement contemporary with Rome, located in the Novosibirsk region. According to scientists' estimates, it could have housed 800-1000 people, dating back to the 8th century BC.
