Yeah, it's all good, it's based on the book. If they had changed the plot significantly, it would have been worse. As it is, they added a few things of their own, but it doesn't really matter in the end; they just decided to expand and add to the plot a bit, so as not to constantly show the dwarves. It's a shame that Beorn was shown so little, and there weren't many battles with the eagles.
