I'm sure that my version of the game is not a licensed one. Beera doesn't appear, but there's also another bug - if I lose while defending a Fortress with a Faidaen, the game continues. But the hero should survive. It's a funny situation... :p
Get a licensed version. Most of the bugs will disappear. Install patches on the licensed version - there will be even fewer bugs.
