Good start, I got Tyraxor, level 2 built, found a Griffin Conservatory-1 on 111. Took it on 112, on 113 I cleared a sword+6 and saw a favorable Griffin Conservatory - nagas. On 114-115 I cleared an artifact +2+2 mage stats, a cap+3, a summoning artifact of birds and beasts. Then Crag doubled his mana at a mana source and ran to a stables that was near the Griffin Conservatory off-road. Nearby there was also a Dragon Fly Hive and a Dwarf Cottage, so I ran a scout to take everything on 121. But during 117 I didn't pay enough attention to planning my turn and really messed up the chains. In the end, on 121 I took the Griffin Conservatory-2 with my scout, transported the army to the castle, upgraded the birds, bought troops, but the army couldn't reach the Dragon Fly Hive, so I had to forget about it and the Dwarf Cottage. However, the army could reach the Griffin Conservatory, and Crag went straight for it after the stables. Stats ~14-5-4-8, army: 6 non-upgraded bears, 13 upgraded birds, 40+ upgraded wolves, and 3 angels. Air expertise, but no Haste. No Slow either, but I had Blessing, which helped quite a bit, and the nagas fell fairly easily. But due to the chain blunder, I was also running out of turn time spent trying to figure something out for the Dragon Fly Hive and Dwarf Cottage. I started attacking everyone in sight, found 2 Dragon Fly Hives, cleared 40+ horses for an immunity-removing artifact, but lost a bear due to two morale procs. And I still couldn't get there.
On 122 I took both Dragon Fly Hives, including the one with 12 Wyverns. Ran a scout along the road and saw the opponent's scout. Killed him, found an unclaimed Dragon Utopia-3. With Crag, I took a village-Castle, built a Mage Guild - got Haste, that makes it easier, and aimed for another Dragon Fly Hive, then decided to take the Dragon Utopia. On 123 I took a mini-Dragon Fly Hive and the Dragon Utopia, got excellent loot: a Chalice and a level 5 hat. Ran to another revealed Dragon Fly Hive + Pandora's Box. On 124 I took the Pandora's Box and Dragon Fly Hive, the box had experience, another Dragon Utopia appeared. Take the Dragon Utopia or try to finish off the opponent? Air scouting showed blue heroes in range, reachable with Dimension Door. Decided to try to finish them off, arrived, and there was Shakti on the attack and Luna with 20+ Wyverns and a few other troops. Lucky. Killed Shakti with artifacts, attacked Luna and killed the Wyverns, followed by a surrender.
Thanks for the game.
All good, but the Miner took the ground late and the central castle was 3 days' walk by road from the Griffin Conservatory.
Going on the offensive didn't affect the outcome of the game at all, that's why I went on the offensive.
I attacked on 116, but to win I needed to attack on 115.
Thanks for the game.
