That's perfectly logical. The Troll has definitely lost, so why do you think he's on your side? Most likely, at least two of those who are voting with him are Mafia. And they form the core. I agree with this scenario.
Considering Waldemoral's numerous mistakes regarding well-known truths, I dare to suggest that she wants to mislead everyone into thinking that Sindin is not Mafia and therefore the Troll should be killed, because they will redirect the votes to him. Right? :)
