What does it mean – “games don’t have to be played”? For example, it might turn out a couple of days before the end of the group stage that two teams have the same number of wins. According to the rules, you should then count the points of each team member, but if there’s a tie, how do you account for it? As 0-0 or 0.5-0.5? I believe that the games should be played if one of the opponents insists on it. If the opponent refuses to play, they should receive a zero score, and whether that decides the outcome or not is secondary. If both teams agree, it can be a draw.
