After spending a day in the sobering cell, I need to find information about the Brotherhood. Hmm, but how can I do that?

Maybe ask at the thieves' guild, they know everything, or maybe go to the Brotherhood and follow them, or maybe just listen to rumors in the Empire, or go into battle. What should I do?
