Actually, there are only two staunch supporters of choosing factions and templates from a limited list.
To be fair, the matchups were more interesting when the faction was chosen from a limited list...

So, no one is really arguing about choosing races – 7 pairs and one faction chosen randomly.
No one has actively expressed a desire to play with 3 templates chosen randomly from 8, but at least two people are in favor of a full list! I think Nomad is also in favor of a full random selection. Therefore, I think it makes sense to play with templates chosen from the full list. 3 in favor, no one against, the rest abstained – that's how it is for now!
