That's what the direct lasso tool is for; if you don't release the button here, you draw lines there. And for even greater precision, there are tools for smudging, blurring, and adapting.

Is there another way to do it? Because I used to do it differently, so the image would move to a separate window where I could cut out the outline with straight lines, and then I would transfer it. I used to do it like that, transferring the Conflux Castle onto the drawing. But now I don't remember how :(
