I also played for luck; I got Rampart vs Rampart, 4 heroes on the first turn, and by the second it turned out I had no decent heroes)) and Thorgrim became the main one.. on the second week I scouted that the opponent in the neighboring zone, which I have access to, wanted to grab 2 Hives there and then run to destroy the Griffin Conservatory... the first Hive was guarded by 6 Wyverns, but at the second Hive guard I almost wiped out... they put 64 Ogres (there were 16 Griffins) for the Hive and Wood, it was a nightmare)).. after 2 morale procs on full stacks everything became even sadder, but I managed to get out... then with what was left I enter a Hive and it's maximum level, and on the very first Fly there is morale... I immediately exited and surrendered.
