On day 114, I cleared a central treasure zone on the snow and got a +6 shield behind 35 swordsmen, and I revealed there behind 5-9 hydras a cloak of speed (I couldn't take it, and then the opponent took it, which had a very significant impact in the end), and further there was a block of a hundred griffins for a quest artifact. In another central treasure zone, a block of a horde of ogres for a prison blocked the passage. Only one option remained - to go into the corner treasure zone.
In the end, by the middle of the second week, I hit a tough block of a horde of mages (for a Pandora's Box + plate +4) in the inner treasure zone and was left with only one town, very sad, since I couldn't properly demonize without secondary skills. The first two weeks, I was running Kalkhom without earth magic and could lose a lot of troops in fights with neutrals =).
At the start of the third week, I broke into the inner treasure zone and simultaneously took the opponent's town. I cleared the Pandora's Box in the treasure zone and left it for Gunnar; lucky, it gave 10k experience and I expertized logistics + earth magic. I started clearing Griffin Conservatories, of which there were two, both level 3-4. At the end of the week, the opponent sent scouts to me; I chased away a couple of scouts, and on day 137 he arrives with his main army of about fifty monarchs.
Fighting was not an option. On day 141, I bought everything I could from Inferno and went to take 2 Dragon Utopias in the corner treasure zone. One turned out to be a minimum one with КЗ, the second was a level 3 with a red orb, a 4/4 cap, and boots of levitation. While I was taking these, he predictably captured my Inferno. Then, foolishly, I was one movement point short to attack him on the move, and I decided not to teleport immediately but to try and grab another Griffin Conservatory in the inner treasure zone that I had just revealed this turn. No luck - I captured it but was left with 186 MP. It turned out very badly; I had 14 mana and needed to replenish before casting Forgetfulness. On his turn, he used a scouting post to reveal an uncleared Dragon Utopia in my inner treasure zone. I teleported to the Tower, ran to the well with Pathfinding, and since I could no longer reach Kiryukha, I took the maximum Griffin Conservatory there. The opponent took the Dragon Utopia (it was a maximum one with plate and a +10 -2 cap) and replenished his mana. I had 1 town and couldn't burn my stats, but I had to attack.
On day 146, he attacked me in my central adjacent zone. He had a lot of fodder + twice my attack parameter. He tried to counter my Armageddon with Resurrection. In the end, I bought peace by killing over 30 birds and 5 hydras, but I also lost a fair amount.
BUT that clearly wasn't enough. On day 147, I engaged him again, another 2 rounds of trading, and then I ran out of mana against his 100 mana, but he was already out of monarchs. He bought peace and bought troops in the Tower, dumped all his resources on Kaelkha and attacked. Trading was pointless for me by then, since his Resurrection was already enough to raise a full stack, and the opponent didn't want to buy peace and preserve his army.
Since I couldn't recapture Inferno from days 147 to 211, I decided to surrender.
Good game well played. Thx for playing.
P.S. I would like to clarify regarding the recent rule changes; the opponent wanted to play exclusively SoD timer and without redraw. I ask the host to clarify which timer is the main one and regarding redraw on XL+U templates.
