How to play Heroes of Might and Magic III online via Hamachi?

I would greatly appreciate help from those who know how to configure Hamachi on a laptop (not mine) - for everyone, the tunnel goes through a relay (resulting in a very slow connection and high ping) - I've already tried everything: I changed the metric, gateways, moved Hamachi back and forth in the list of connections, disabled and enabled encryption, disabled the firewall, and added the Hamachi folder to Avast's exceptions, etc. - nothing helped. Windows 7 Home Basic 64-bit is installed.
