In the setting, it seems like only Necropolis cannot be deprived of Night Defense (ND).
Since many roles are still unknown, what's the point of depriving someone of ND?
I think there was a block.

I don't think so; it was more likely a protection than a block.
Otherwise, where is the other protector?
It's more likely that the blocker targeted someone who couldn't be blocked (and there are three such players in the game) than that the protector skipped their turn.
