We agreed to play on the standard version of the template. We used all restarts, then there was a re due to encountering a bugged generation (Falcone had a passage to the green computer). The game setup was again a coin flip.
A miner with 1 stack, start underground, 2 roads. The "friendly" computers were placed behind a swamp for us. On turn 113 probably, I made the most fatal mistake, because of a block of gr. archers on the adjacent zone I chose expert tactics at level 3 instead of pathfinding. From the external dwellings at spawn only Troglodytes.
On turn 117 I exited through a portal to the adjacent zone with the central treasure zones, which turned out to be on a swamp. The exit was located on a short road between the portal to the computer and a one-way monolith. 2 hexes of non-road travel away was a lift, I captured the computer's town and went there. The underground turned out to be a treasure zone (11). In it I captured 2 mini hives and was met by the opponent with impressive power and I bought myself off without a fight. The opponent came to finish me off, I ate everything I could at spawn and the corner adjacent zone. On turn 137 the green computer cut down the scout hero of the red player and the opponent couldn't bring reinforcements, and I decided to attack through a full trade. The opponent had Necro 5-3-6-60, I had better stats 8-12-6-120, but there was a solid advantage in troops (9 angels, 360+1 skeletons, 30+ grand elves, 8 horned demons, 8 wyverns and gr. pegasus for me - 3 angels, 7 scorpicores, 25 wyverns, 35 gr. evil eyes, 6+1 medusas and a Troglodyte)
It turned out to be a very even fight. I had no mass magic, so I fought the whole battle under mass slow, I made a mistake by not blocking the medusa stack with a Troglodyte, but that ultimately won me the fight, in my opinion, since after the retaliation the horned demons were paralyzed. The opponent stupidly sacrificed the skeleton stack, exchanging them for 7 wyverns, and at the end of the battle the scorpicore got lucky with paralysis. In the end he escaped on one angel, leaving me with 10 evil eyes and 3 wyverns.
The only option further was to jump into the one-way monolith (the corner treasure zone is sad with 1 hive and uneven terrain), he knocked me out onto the road to treasure zone -12, which was also on a swamp with a Rampart village, I never found the entrance to the one-way monolith, right after me the green computer jumped into the one-way monolith, but it was thrown to a different place =) As it turned out later, the one-way monolith had 2 exits - to the inner treasure zone and to this same zone (it turned out cool, a passage to the inner treasure zone through 2 lifts + a one-way monolith).
Further I decided to contain the blue computer for the Dungeon, cleared its area, it didn't turn out very well - 2 mini Griffin Conservatories, a hive of 6 Wyverns and a double Dragon Utopia with Shackles of War, the Black Orb and Boots of Speed +2 all.
I had no control, Falcone had Dimension Door + wings. Then the opponent captured the Rampart village in the treasure zone and came to hunt me (since he had massed 1k skeletons). In the last slots I got pathfinding, tried to find something in the computers' inner treasure zone, then in the central one on the swamp where I was caught. In the final battle he had main stacks of 1200 skeletons with +2 health, 17 green dragons, 7 angels, I had nothing to answer him with, I didn't have the money to buy myself off, "gg".
Thanks for the game.
Oh man, an epic game it was)
In the game without rests I was given 7 elves on Ivor, 60 Centaurs, 2 external dragon dwellings at spawn, a Griffin Conservatory on the adjacent zone, visible from the lookout tower, the Necromancer's Cloak, Nimbus in the tavern and a box for 10-19 ogres. There were 2 adjacent zones - a swamp and a snowy one. On the second, right at the exit 2 Griffin Conservatories by the road, a bit further another one) In general, playable)
I captured the Dungeon village underground. In the 2nd week I farmed skeletons, and prepared to take the Griffin Conservatories. Handled that successfully, gathered 9 angels and 370 skeletons and went into the underground treasure zone. Where the opponent appeared. His army was much weaker, so I decided to attack him with a scout hero from a prison. Shakti bought himself off for ~10k and I ran after him. I had to slog through the swamp with skeletons on my shoulders. I was playing very relaxed, thinking about which template to play in the decisive game, watching streams, skipping scout hero turns. And then suddenly(c) I am attacked by a decent army under Shakti with impressive stats.
I played the battle poorly. I got too nervous and stupidly sacrificed the skeletons, although I had a much more advantageous opportunity to use them. But even after such a rough mistake I could have won, but then in the finale paralysis from the scorpicores triggered 3 times almost in a row - the most critical moment of the battle. We almost completely killed each other's troops, I had to buy myself off.
But I still had reinforcements, some other troops, a Necro with the Cloak and mana well, and a bunch of directions and places of increased necro potential. While the opponent was cut off from the center and surrounded by a swamp with a cleared respawn.
But the opponent didn't give up and we ran around the map for a long time. I collected Pandora's Boxes, took Dragon Utopias, Griffin Conservatories, massed skeletons. I looked for Town Portal, but never found it. In the end I managed to catch Shakti in the swamp treasure zone. A monstrous advantage in troops did the job.
Thanks for the game!
