My situation is quite good, mainly thanks to the powerful hero Sir Mulich. I could capture a same-type town in the first week, but on D3 I discovered the village was a Castle, with 2 Angel nests nearby. So I decided to abandon Tower and build Castle. In the second week, I successfully built Angels, and on day 135 built Archangels. From then on, my units' speed was superior to my opponent's throughout the game.
Gomunguls' situation was also exceptionally good: his home had an Elf nest, Stables, 3 Conservatories, Logistics skill in the University, and he obtained Boots of Speed, Gloves, and AD3 in the first week. Several of his heroes were extremely powerful, and he recruited 7 Angels in the second week, then attacked a Utopia in the same week to get the Air Book.
I believe Gomunguls' strategy execution was poor. With so many powerful heroes possessing Logistics skills and such strong troops, instead of quickly moving to the center to expand territory, explore the map, and capture same-type towns, he focused solely on the artifact zone in the second week. Although he gained many artifacts, he lost control of the central area and the ability to restrict me.
Before the third week, my army was very weak, but with Sir Mulich's help, I expanded rapidly and quickly secured several strategic points on the map. By the time Gomunguls had cleared the artifact zone, it was already the third week. I was also capable of attacking a Utopia, and from the first Utopia I obtained the Earth and Fire Books. I quickly upgraded the Archangels, then attacked a second Utopia to obtain the Holy Pendant (Life+4), giving my Archangels 316 HP. My army strength suddenly surpassed Gomunguls'.
Although Gomunguls captured the central town in the third week, he neglected to control it. When his army was superior, he chose to enter a second artifact zone instead. In the following days, while his army and hero parameters increased greatly, this also allowed me to develop at my own pace.
By the fourth week, I had 19 Archangels, controlled most of the towns on the map, and had a very strong economy with an income of 16000 gold per day. My strategy was that as long as I controlled the central Castle, Gomunguls would find it very difficult to compete with me in army strength and unit speed. As long as he didn't have Shackles of War, I was invincible.
The final Utopia I explored gave me ALL 5 lv magic cap. I intended to attack Gomunguls' last central town, but accidentally killed his main hero, Gurnission. Seeing that he no longer had a chance, Gomunguls surrendered.
A true hero balances "substance" with "opportunity." Which does one take first? Russians mostly value "substance," but the sharp edge breaks easily. It's better to seize "opportunity" at the right time, and remain indomitable.
thx for game
