Is death the end of the road or the beginning of a new life?

I would also like to believe that after death, the soul will enter another body and a new life will begin... but the thought that after death you might end up nowhere, knowing that you exist but in a void, and knowing that you will never see the sun, the sky, or people again – is frightening...
