Had so many options with spread hives, a conflux, and a dragon dwelling. So it was useful that I got boots and gloves early on with Gunnar. Just managed to build dragons and position myself in week 2. Week 3, the opponent showed up and stole a top spot close to me. I took another top spot that gave shackles and managed to catch the opponent the next day. Thanks for playing.

It went okay, I played decently, but even if I had squeezed out the maximum, I probably wouldn't have won. I ate the utopia in the center before the opponent to prevent them from getting anything there. The second center was already across the opponent's respawn point, and there was a much better distribution of resources. And to top it off, I encountered Gunnar, who was scouting me through the overview and had shackles. So I could have bought my way out and played around, but I doubt it, because all roads led through the opponent.
