Got massacred. The spawn was so-so — shooter blocks, no caches, only a Dragon Fly Hive behind a bunch of hell hounds. Lost my ducks on the first week and was about to type gg, but I decided this is a tournament, dammit! I'll fight to the end!
3 most fascinating months of crawling underground in search of goodies awaited me. Collecting Dragon Fly Hives and subsequently losing ducks wherever ducks could be lost. The neutrals even whispered — "concede..". But I stubbornly gathered Dragon Fly Hives, Pandora's Boxes, artifacts, leveled Tazar. The opponent also went into hardcore hoarding. So we hoarded and hoarded, and somewhere at the end of the month a cunning plan dawned on me: why not crack the opponent's GO?! Cracked it, took the castle with growth, started strategically saving cash for archangels (Dragon Utopia didn't spawn on 3/4 of the map).
Saved and saved, well, saved up  Then guarded the castle with Tazar at night, along with the royal ducklings. In short, hordes of Moandor attacked me on one of those nights, and we had our final showdown. An implosion for 3250 from the opponent on the very first turn made it clear the game would be quite tense.
Fought for a long time — at the most critical moment, when Moandor had enough mana for only 2 implosions, resistance saved me twice. Essentially the turning point of the battle. Because in terms of raw power I was inferior, but in the fight without mana I had 11 griffin monks surviving, which I reinforced with the remnants of swamp monsters and shot the enemy well with expert archery and the bow. And I saved 25 mana for the "last implosion" for the tastiest part, which finished off the skeletons and, thanks to morale, the remaining stack of pikemen.
Thanks for the game!
There was a moment when I also wanted to type gg — that was when I completely dumped a single growth of angels in the treasure zone)) but I also decided not to give up. The game took an interesting turn. True, for an SM [standard match?] the game turned out to be very long. I conquered three Dragon Utopias in the upper sandy treasure zone. 2 of them turned out to have more or less decent contents. Stats-wise we leveled up about the same as the opponent. I focused on spell power +26, had a cape for using level 5 spells. At some point the opponent cracks the GO with 20-49 bears and takes my main castle. I had more resources, so I decided to attack him in my own captured castle. When 8 archangels fell from a single use of implosion, I got inspired))) started using it on his main stacks. But resistance triggered twice for the opponent and in the end I was left without mana, which decided the game not in my favor. It's hard to break through without Tazar's sorcery. I think I should have used magic differently, rather than focusing on implosion. I learned a lot of experience from this game. Thanks for the interesting game!
