Is death the end of the road or the beginning of a new life?

It's more of a philosophical question))). I imagine it as the beginning of fulfilling new (afterlife) duties – I don't think that in heaven or hell, the same god and devil do everything for everyone)))))). Hence, there's this interesting thought – that we will all work, and each will work as much as they deserve – so the work will be easier accordingly.)))
For example, even the same Angel of Death would work – because it's not God who leads people to paradise or casts them down to hell, but someone else)):D

P.S. Let's remember at least the movie "Fantomas Goes to Retirement," where he worked for so long and, even after retirement, couldn't come to terms with the fact that he no longer had to work – and after retirement, he started working again))))):D
