Spent all my rest points, opponent didn't take a single one. I got a layout with an external dwelling of gnolls and a decent starting army. In the first week, I broke into the underground and captured a Necromancer secondary town there, scouted a couple of Dragon Fly Hives and 2 treasure zones. Built Wyverns in the castle. I had very little gold, so I played with 4 heroes for a long time.
On the 2nd week, I took a pre-max Dragon Fly Hive and a mini Dwarf Cottage and sent Tazar into a treasure zone through the underground. I got lucky with leveling — got Wisdom on the 6th level, already having Expert Earth and Tactics. I broke 2 pickups — one for 10k experience, the other for full Earth magic behind a hundred Medusas, had to give up 3 Wyverns.
On the third week, I returned to the underground and went for distant Griffin Conservatory (3-unit), Dwarf Cottage, and Dragon Fly Hive. Successfully grabbed them and crawled towards the +4 all stats shield.
At the start of the 4th week, with an army of 25 Monarchs, 3 Angels, 24 Wasps, 72 Lizardmen, and 30 Serpent Flies, I went for the opponent through a GO of Hydras. I messed up my movement and didn't manage to reach the castle by day 142.
In the finale, I had a big advantage both in stats — 9 17 10 8, vs 3 3 5 10 — and in army.
Thanks for the game!
