Ment remained silent. Meanwhile, the fish, after walking a bit more along the shore, approached a snowdrift, dug something out of it, clearly a piece of meat, and went back along its tracks. Finally, the trail left by the fish ended in front of the river. There, it quickly darted into the water. Its fin appeared once above the surface of the water on the other side of the river, and then everything became quiet.
