I'm writing to you from a burning tank... The vacation didn't go as planned – on the 5th day, the child caught some kind of intestinal infection. We treated it according to the pediatrician's instructions for 3 days, but it didn't help. On the 4th day, we learned a lot of interesting things about Sochi's medicine in general and the children's infectious diseases hospital in particular, so we decided to return home. But there were no direct flights to St. Petersburg, and with transfers, it would take almost a day longer. The child was not in a condition to be dragged around train stations and airports, so we flew to Moscow and were hospitalized here. The prices for plane tickets are insane – in winter, we flew from St. Petersburg to Sochi and back for two people for 30K, but here, for a one-way flight to Moscow, we paid 34K, which is about 3 times the price due to the urgency. I was pleased with the work of Moscow's medical services – the ambulance arrived in about 5 minutes, and the doctor arrived in about half an hour. They didn't pressure us, they did everything we asked, quickly and for free. They didn't ask about our out-of-town insurance policy, and they didn't try to scam us for money. Maybe we were lucky, or maybe this is normal for Moscow – I don't know, in St. Petersburg, there's more hassle with this. After leaving my wife and child at the hospital, I realized that I was feeling terrible. And I still had to go to pharmacies and children's stores to buy what we needed. I don't know why no police officer reacted to the staggering zombie, vomiting under every bush. In St. Petersburg, I was stopped many times to check for alcohol or drug intoxication (more likely for intoxication). In general, I brought everything, then passed out for about 6 hours, and it felt a little better closer to the evening. I don't know how long I'll be staying in Moscow; it depends on how the treatment goes. That's the situation...
