“Two Seasons: Summer-Autumn 2014” Tournament. Online games for rating (reports, discussions).
Having spent all my resources, I had to start underground. The first computer had a lift right next to the city, and he quickly moved out, but the subsequent respawn was unfavorable, with many unnecessary objects (7 lairs of thieves, etc.). In the middle of the game, it turned out that my treasure rooms were very poor; there were no good items near the villages. Among the good artifacts, I found a Crown of Wisdom and a +6 sword. Towards the end of the fourth week, I got stuck in a treasure room between the Goblin city in the underground, and at that moment, my opponent invaded one of the computer-controlled cities. I was hoping for the central treasure room, but what I found there wasn't enough (Wings of the Angel, Boots, +5 All Stats Sword, +10 -2 Hat). Earth magic was the last skill I learned, and I barely managed to upgrade it to expert level. My opponent had full control, and I never got Teleportation. Because of this, I had to go for a final battle when he cut off several of my castles. In the final battle, he had 2 stacks of 90 griffins and 1.1k skeletons + griffin gorgons. I had 150 demons, 30+ angels, 15+ efreets, and pitfiends. In the battle, my opponent had more mana and used Raise Dead and regular Raise Dead, and the griffin stack proved too strong. After the skeletons fell, I could have retreated, but there was too little chance of winning, so it was game over.
Thanks for the game.
