[EXPEDITION] Wild Ocean

Selena and Akane, holding hands, fought off a whole pack of hyenas; this time, there were not three, not even four or five. The scavengers, like servants of death, wanted to drag them down with them into the earth, but the elves desperately resisted and refused to let them win. When the last hyena fell dead, Selena, with a triumphant expression on her face, turned to her friend, expecting a similar reaction, but it didn't happen. The beautiful girl's face was cracked, her eye sockets were empty, and worms crawled all over her body. "A walking dead! Just like in human stories," she exclaimed, trying to defend herself, but it was too late; the elf's cold hands grabbed her by the throat... Selena woke up during another earthquake; due to such a rude awakening combined with a short sleep, her head ached slightly. "What a dream I had!" she thought as she got out of bed. Looking out the window, somewhere in her field of vision, she saw the governor and a large crowd of other people, while the rest of the city was quiet. Realizing that something important was happening, she, forgetting about her yesterday's apathy, took her still not completely dry clothes, gathered her things, and hurried to the scene, but first, she decided to find Akane.
