Plus, different versions of Windows, hardware, and drivers. First of all, try running "Heroes 3" itself (not WoG): Heroes3.exe. Does it work? If not, you can try installing another version of "Heroes 3" (from a different site, for example, from there), and test its functionality. If everything works and you need WoG, install it "on top", and check again. Then, install the WoG localization, and check again.
