Sophronaios is a very talented air mage who can notice things that others miss. Often, he even notices what more talented aerologists are unable to see. However, this isn't due to his talent or keen eye; it's simply because Sophronaios is completely insane. But he doesn't attack people or blame them for his troubles; instead, he constantly scolds his pet dragon, Zephyr. Of course, only Sophronaios can see Zephyr. The mage himself explains this easily: "I didn't tame Zephyr; we became friends. And, like other dragons of his kind, he can hide himself from prying eyes! Perhaps, before accusing me of madness, you should try to earn his trust, and then you will see him too!" However, at Zephyr's suggestion, Sophronaios abandoned attempts to convince his colleagues of the truth of his words and, instead, headed to the Vault. The little dragon did not reveal the details to Sophronaios but hinted that some exciting journey would soon begin there.
At first, nothing resembling the "beginning of an exciting journey" happened in the city, which even made Sophronaios doubt Zephyr's words. But he quickly changed his mind when, during a walk through the port, a flyer flew into his face with the headline "The Kro Empire is looking for volunteers!".
- Look, you were right, Zephyr! - exclaimed the mage enthusiastically. Passersby, meanwhile, looked at him fearfully. - I was already starting to doubt your words.
Almost immediately after that, he shouted again, this time in pain. After examining his hand and making sure there was no blood, Sofronaio frowned and glanced at the empty space to his right.
- Just because you are "always right," Zephyr, doesn't give you the right to bite people! And don't even think about biting this one either," the mage said, glancing at the flyer again, "ah, yes, Sanchez Navarro! Although, then at least someone would... no, never mind. Don't bite the captain, got it?
Sophronaios' gaze softened. Smiling wryly, he tossed a piece of dried meat towards the empty space. The food that fell on the ground was almost immediately snatched up by a rat running past.
- That's good," the mage patted the empty space, "now let's go sign up."
