HD mod, question about save files.

I'm playing online with a friend on the Battle of World map. As it turns out, the map has a hero level limit (level 22), and we only found this out after reaching that level. :( Question: how can I edit the saved game? The "Heroes III SaveEditor v2.04" program can't open the save file and gives an error. Are there any other editors (I've honestly searched online and couldn't find anything:smile33:) or methods, besides using things like ArtMoney?
