With all due respect to the SOD timer and those who prefer it, I've sworn off playing with it in fun games. As for tournaments, it's just torture. Not only is there simply not enough of those infamous 8 minutes on HL+U by the third week to do anything, because I think during my turn, I don't need an hour for the battle, but thinking about what to do next is critical.
The only solution is to agitate and tighten the rules – there is no other way. There was nothing good about the SOD timer, and there still isn't.

After Minsk, I really wanted to make a statement about the SOD timer; I actively discussed it with Tvarina. But then circumstances changed, and there were fewer Heroes games in my life, and the desire to "moosh" (argue) subsided. But I still remain a staunch opponent of this "miracle." I'm not arguing that there are players with whom it's enjoyable to play with any timer, but the downside of this "medal"... So, in the future, it's possible to refuse tournaments with the SOD timer by default.
P.S. They removed the timer slider from Heroes, and that's the end of it :D
