Over the weekend, as I said, I played as the Barbarians, using the "green" faction – the entire military campaign took eleven days. On the second day, I set sail with three ships – two headed to attack the blue faction's coast, while Agragt, with her incredible logistics at level 33, sailed to eliminate the red and yellow factions. The red faction was destroyed on the sixth day, and five days later, both the blue and yellow Castles were captured. (I have replays of capturing the Phoenix and Archangel outposts with Thunderbirds.)
Then, I tried playing as the yellow faction, as I had planned, and also as the Undead. The problem with the yellow faction is that they have very few resources, and if you go "hero-focused" and can't (or can only with heavy losses) reach the top, you have to start over :(, so the yellow faction definitely needs at least an iron mine and a sawmill. I'm attaching a replay of the battle that allowed me to reach the top – it was only due to favorable circumstances and the specific units guarding the exit that I was able to win. After that, everything became easier and more fun – over three days, I developed the hero (with almost no losses) and captured the blue Castle, giving me the opportunity to develop normally. A couple of weeks later, I was able to break through to my own Castle (I have a replay of capturing the Titan and Gnome outposts) and reach the surface near the red elf, who had just been defeated by the green gnome. I trapped the green faction's main hero (level 35) with a small army in the red Castle and defeated him without giving him a chance to escape (I also have a replay of that). Then, I sailed to the green faction, where I encountered another hero at level 33 who had an army of comparable strength to mine (the danger level was "medium"). I won, but I was left with almost no army. I had to storm the Castle with 12 vampires and a hundred skeleton archers, which I was able to resurrect after the previous battle. Establishing a connection with 370 defenders greatly helped, as it accumulates mana – I had enough to resurrect my weak warriors. Skillful control of the machines allowed me to neutralize the Castle and win. It took five weeks and four days to achieve victory.
