A THREAD FOR NEWCOMERS!

Help a newbie. I wanted to play Heroes online. I downloaded Heroes 3 SOD + a pre-installed HD mod. I updated the mod. I joined Hamachi, but I don't see the game. He sees my game, but he can't join. My launcher version is 3.716, and his is 3.714; maybe that's the reason. But both of us have it saying that it's the latest version. In the plugins, I have megapack_ru installed; without it, the language is English, and he has nothing installed. How do I set it up for online play? Could you please provide a link?
