In my opinion, 16:8:1 on HL+U is sufficient; I manage to accumulate enough resources even while streaming. If you consider using longer timers than 30 minutes at the start, I think it's better to play on the classic timer. But objectively: with chess, by week 3-4, you can realistically accumulate a timer (on the one I mentioned), but on the classic timer, at the same stage, if you have 2 heroes with control, consider that 1 of them will constantly not reach the destination.
Calculating the move during the break really helps; I recommend it to everyone, and it also shows respect to your opponent, because some people like to waste time... ))
