The plot in brief is as follows: Lysander decides to find relatives and learns about Sephinor, the illegitimate daughter of King Gryphonheart. He begins searching for her. From her, he learns that he has a brother, Robert, who remained on Enroth. He begins to look for a way to return. He meets Sandro, Crag Hack, and Solmyr, and together they find a way to open the portal.
