I still played as the "green" faction. I finished the war in less than three weeks; it mostly involved defeating weak enemies. I think I could have won even faster, but I made a mistake by developing the castle in a traditional way and didn't consider that there was no wood on the island (if you play on the "hero" difficulty level, there are only 10 wood resources at the beginning, five of which are spent on the tavern, which you must build to hire a hero, and the rest I spent on the scout school instead of building a market, but I didn't know that the chests on the island give so much experience or money). As a result, I had to wait for the "horn of plenty" to "bring" wood so that I could build boats. After loading the boats, defeating the enemies was a simple task.
