Amos couldn't believe his eyes.
"How is this possible? Now I'll have to prove that I am who I am if I return to the depths of Duran. Just wonderful."
He took a few steps on the sand.
"Well, at least I can walk much easier now."
And a few more.
"And I don't need glasses anymore."
He put them in his pocket and was horrified.
"Oh, what is this? Can someone please help her!" he shouted, rushing to Amalia, who was still lying on the ground. "Although, what are you even capable of? Wandering around in the wilderness and getting slapped? I'll do it myself."
He supported her head and, without realizing it, gently stroked one of her black curls.
"Her face is certainly that of a simple country girl, but there's something else about her besides the smell of sweat. A slender figure, for example. And how old is she? And what does she eat?" Suddenly, his random thoughts were interrupted, and he felt disgusted with himself.
"It seems it's hormones. Thank you very much," Amos realized. "Nevertheless, I can help. After all, we are humans, right?"
