Thirdly, I absolutely disagree that captain's duties don't contribute much to the team. Many probably think so, but the one who worried the most about the tournament is the one who made it to the finals, and for the second time in a row. Moreover, the most active captains won twice in a row. Last year, Vitaly turned his guys into real monsters; he worked with them online, guided them throughout the tournament, paid constant attention, asked about details, monitored everyone, and did much more. Look at his partners now – they are showing weak results.
Well, in the 2v2 finals, I've been playing Heroes casually for the past year (everyone knows how much luck matters in these games, and that partly diminished my interest in Heroes). In offline battles, my results are just awful (either I get a great matchup or a terrible one). I've always considered Kilgor to be one of the strongest players in the community, and his results are very good now.
Ah, yes, and hearing this from you directed at us is absurd. I think you had something else in mind.
