UFO (The Truth Is Out There)

Generally, I agree with Laura Vita regarding the presumption, although only partially...
Now, regarding my opinion about "flying saucers":::cool:
In my early childhood, I was absolutely certain about the existence of aliens in flying saucers, but a little later I abandoned this idea (if I haven't seen it with my own eyes, it can't be real). Maybe it was all about age-related thinking – I only operated with extreme categories (Yes/No, Black/White)... But towards the end of school, my worldview began to change again, and I started to allow for the existence of aliens, and not only them, within reasonable limits, of course...
Now about the aliens, whose existence in a reasonable form I almost don't doubt:
1. There are many theories about the aliens themselves (who they are, where they come from, why and on what they fly to us, why they don't make contact with us – not just "little green men from another planet"). To say that they don't exist just because they don't exist is simply STUPID...:smile04:
2. (Statistical aspect)*: People have been looking at the stars for a long time (I look at them) and believed that gods live there... In our galaxy, there are about 100 billion star systems, and in total, according to scientists, our Universe consists of 200 billion galaxies (I read an article, it seems in "Geo"). As a result, a probabilistic value of the obligatory existence of intelligent life was derived... in general, the figure turned out to be very convincing...
3. The whole thing may be due to the peculiarities of human thinking. People unconsciously convince themselves of what they want to believe (and not only about aliens) and subsequently are very reluctant to change their views. There is a very unusual theory about self-deception in the Middle Ages, but that's a separate topic...
4. Over the 6-7 thousand years of human civilization, progress has moved very slowly. How the ancient Sumerians invented laws, irrigation, taxes, etc., everything remained practically unchanged for thousands of years – everything changed slowly... And then came the 20th century!!! A person who saw the first flights of airplanes becomes a witness to the beginning of the exploration of space... nuclear energy... computers... telecommunications... incredible military technologies... Doesn't this mean that they are preparing us for Contact...?
5. Romantic aspect*: How much we want to believe that we are not alone in the universe...
In general, I have briefly outlined my opinion regarding UFOs here, without touching on other things, such as Nessie, for example...
I look forward to your feedback on the topic, any criticism is welcome, except for obscene language, preferably with arguments...
