Of course, the darkness in Amalia's soul did not arise immediately; initially, she was one of the most diligent members of the order, at least compared to her peers. However, gradually pride took over, methods became harsher, and her vision of the Emperor changed. If before she saw him as the only true savior, the true leader capable of leading humanity to prosperity, then over time she began to see him as the only one capable of more or less successfully controlling this dirty herd called humans. She began to consider him her patron only because there was no adequate alternative.
Naturally, neither her parents nor her brethren could fail to notice the changes in Amalia's behavior. Nor could she ignore the fact that they tried to correct her more and more often, trying to tell her that her actions were not the best option. And then it dawned on her: the order had become too soft! And it certainly wouldn't back off until she returned to her former, blind self. And Amalia saw no other way than to flee, to carry out the will of the Emperor as she sees fit, without being lectured.
During her travels, Amalia came across a reconnaissance detachment of the Vasanti Empire. And although she fought valiantly, Amalia was not destined to win – numerical superiority was on the side of the Vasantians. They saw potential in the Atraxian woman, as well as the doubts hidden in her soul. This, combined with her recent defeat and the eloquence of the squad leader, was enough to convince Amalia of the weakness not only of the order but also of the Emperor himself.
For some time, she stayed with the Vasantians, learning from their experience and helping them carry out their tasks. But when news arrived about Vincent Agares' expedition, it was decided to send Amalia there undercover. The journey to the Border held great potential; it would be foolish not to take advantage of the situation.
When an explosion occurred in Nevermore, Amalia was just shopping for the expedition. However, what happened forced the girl to change her plans: she took advantage of the situation and, disguised, burst into a store, taking all the remaining ambrosia and everything else that she could reach.

Once upon a time, "Conqueror" was blessed by the Emperor, but now its steel has turned black due to Amalia's devotion to the new deity, Vasanta.
