Ratislav cautiously turned on the light, preparing to abandon the boy and retreat into the street if danger arose; fortunately, the exit was nearby.

When Ratislav turned on the light, he unexpectedly discovered that they were not alone with the boy. A crowd of lurking bandits, clearly older than the boy, patiently waited for Ratislav's arrival. They had probably noticed him approaching. Ratislav pushed the boy aside and tried to run outside, but one of the bandits got ahead of him and slammed the door shut right in front of his eyes.
- I assume you have some business with us? - One of them said with a sneer.
