The game is just a game; the first campaign has a more or less decent plot, but after that, compared to the campaigns in the original Heroes games, it becomes rubbish. Apparently, the screenwriter has problems with imagination, or maybe he was high when he came up with the plot, or a squirrel visited him. Anyway, I managed to finish the second campaign with great difficulty, and I started the third one and gave up – and all because of the plot. As a testing ground for the game, the maps are ordinary; there is nothing extraordinary or, conversely, too simplistic.
When I was playing Chronicles, and that was before Wrath of the Gods, I think, I enjoyed it, and I didn't even pay attention to the plot... :) These were expansions to a popular game at the time.
