Based on my own experience, I can also say that 2-3 runs after almost any scouting is the most optimal. After that, you'll just waste a lot of time for maybe one extra day, and even then, it depends on luck. Because a good player develops a certain strategy over the years of training, and they won't deviate from it much. Therefore, in my opinion, the number of restarts doesn't have much of an impact on the result of a strong player.
