~Ratislav is experiencing the aftereffects of prolonged abstinence from dream dust.
Recently, Ratislav had been feeling frankly unwell. He wasn't infected, sick, or injured, but his condition was still far from ideal. He felt that it was somehow related to the dream dust, and he was, to put it mildly, tempted to take another dose, but the Tyrian was holding himself back with all his might. He was increasingly reciting prayers to Lucian, seeking his support and protection, but it didn't help much. Outwardly, Ratislav tried not to show his condition, but the inexplicable symptoms of this "illness" wouldn't go away. Let's assume that the dust is a strong drug.
