How do I reset the client (I want to replay the game from the beginning with a fresh start) while keeping my account?

I've been struggling with this for two days. I have a physical (collector's) version and a digital Steam version. The problem is that the Steam version works, but the physical version doesn't (either it doesn't sync saves, or somehow the Uplay saves from the Steam version are being applied to the physical version; now Uplay doesn't connect at all). I've made almost all the progress in the physical version, and more than half of the Dynasty's weapons are upgraded to level 5. In short, it's a nightmare, and I don't know what to do.
