- I see two options. We can try to reach another settlement if we have enough supplies, consider the operation a failure and head back, or continue the expedition as planned, acquire valuable findings, and... reach the old world, just as our ancestors once did. Well, at least some eastern port or settlement from which we can travel somewhere. Who knows? If all these catastrophes and the death of thousands of innocent people are on your conscience, then perhaps you will meet your "witch" in the east.
