111 - In the tavern, Piquedram with 8 gargoyles and a Rampart hero. I buy and upgrade gremlins, about ~50 of them, leave the castle, and run into a block of 50+ gremlins... some "friendlies". Despite the set-up centaurs who had "shoot us" written in big letters on their foreheads, these pests mowed down 15 of my gremlins, which were scarce enough as it was. I run further along the path, there's a prison with archers guarding it (well, at least it's not with ballistae), one path leads to grass past 50+ dwarves, nearby a shield +4 guarded by 20+ dwarves. The other path is another block, but this time with a choice: another 50+ gremlins or 20+ gogs. Lucky me, I find a gremlin dwelling with my scout off-road.
112-113 - I break into the prison, I get a level-zero Rampart hero, but I also get centaurs, which no one wants to hit. I take out the second group of gremlins, the losses hurt, every little pointy hat counts. I'm left with about 40 gremlins, 30 centaurs, and a few gargoyles. With the cart, I haul dwarves for 2 weeks, breaking through to both the shield and the path to the grass. I build a mage guild, no slow or haste, but I do get prayer.
114-117 - on the grass I take a Conflux, there's a stable, and I open up the view. Almost the whole zone is visible. This is clearly not the adjacent zone, there's a passage up to a treasure zone on sand, I can't find the passage to the second treasure zone, but there aren't that many unexplored parts. For good stuff in the zone I see 3 crypts, I take them, one is max, so I get nagas at home at the citadel. At the respawn, meanwhile, all my scout-collectors have hit blocks, and the second road leads to ГО.
Second week - I buy everything, upgrade the nagas, run with Nila randomly towards the passage to the second treasure zone. It's where I expected it, the underground. Army: 90 gremlins, 10 gargoyles, 5 upgraded nagas, 6 mages, and a bit of fodder. I have tactics, no magic is given. I see a Dragon Fly Hive, take it, level 6. Further on, the passage is blocked by 20+ monks for shackles. Upwards, 50+ vampires for the memory amulet. I hit the monks, there are 40 of them, -magic. Next, a block of 50+ monks for 2 scrolls. I decide I've had enough of monks, so I hit the vampires. There are 65 of them with haste, -fodder. I run further, a block of 20+ efreet for a pandora's box and +5 attack. It becomes clear I'm not welcome here, I run back. What about my magic? Nila got air, and the mage guild in the Conflux gave me slow. Strange - air is good, slow is good, but having both somehow feels bad. I evaluate the options: run to the other treasure zone on sand, but I have no pathfinding. Or look for passages to other secondary zones at the respawn, which are who-knows-where, and probably the result will be that I get caught off guard. I decide to run for the sands. By the end of the week I see Kyrre, who is breaking through the efreet in the underground treasure zone. I check with a scout - decent stats, ~20 wyverns, 30 grand elves, and more fodder. 0 mana, but there's no point attacking without haste, slow, and mass magic.
3rd week - Kyrre runs back, I take 2 Dragon Fly Hives in the sand treasure zone, run looking for something tasty. Red takes both my castles and Kyrre chases Nila through the treasure zone. I grab basic pathfinding, take a chest guarded by 100+ djinns, a necklace +3+3 guarded by 50+ rocs, gather 30 wyverns, but after all the fights I'm left with just wyverns, 7 nagas, and 40 gremlins, that's it. I barely spend mana, still have no mass magic, and I realize my only chance is to find wings\КВ\КЗ\a level 5 hat. Alas, I find none of that, I run out of the treasure zone onto a secondary zone, and on day 141 Kyrre catches up. In the final battle, no chance.
