We played without rests. Vistan arrived with 3 stacks; at the respawn there was a Griffin Conservatory and 2 external Gnoll dwellings. I scouted the Conservatory on the stone adjacent zone and decided to break into that zone so as not to cede it to my opponent. In the first week, I managed to upgrade hydras at the Citadel, but money abruptly ran out after that, and there was nothing left to buy growth with.

In the second week, I broke through to the stones. I lost a Pegasus to morale-boosting wooden creatures, then decided to check a pile of imps with one hydra — it turned out to be maximal, so I had to flee. Meanwhile, my opponent broke into the same zone but saw the castle I had captured and decided not to attack.

My plan was to check the Conservatory and, if it was minimal, take it and slip away into the swamp. But my opponent surrendered and wrote gg.
