If I'm playing with Conflux connected and click "save," the save is written to the hard drive. Then, when I exit the game, the save from the hard drive is written to the cloud. Am I understanding this correctly?

Online saves are not written to the hard drive. At least, I can't find them using search.
They are written directly to the Cloud, in my opinion.
In general, if the synchronization doesn't work when I exit the game, I repeat the attempts until it finally completes successfully, and only then do I close the game to avoid this kind of hassle later.

It's possible that the game versions on different computers don't match, for example, one has 2.1, and the other has 2.1.1.
