What was your first castle in Heroes 3?

In the early 2000s, my cousin came to visit and brought a disk with three Heroes games. We both played as Haven, on the map where you either had to kill the Azure Dragon or defeat all the AI opponents within six months. That map is still available as one of the scenarios. In battle, my brother would protect his archers with griffins and pikemen. I didn't ask him why he did that, but I figured it was to reduce the damage from ranged attacks. It seemed like a way to shield the archers, so arrows wouldn't fly past them. I finished the game alone, and the defeat came right on schedule.
