Is this disgusting stuff on someone's palm, resembling sheep droppings, actually snuff? Has anyone tried it, and if so, what are the sensations?

Back in school, people got hooked on this stuff, claiming it helped them quit smoking. I don't know how anyone can stand putting it in their mouth. And knowing that it's made from chicken droppings makes it even more disgusting.
