I relied on the color (/topic/at/737799/; I gave up Kair and it paid off%). It generated 1 road, not at an intersection, but the overall network density was more than satisfactory, while my opponent got stuck for 2 weeks with barely 2 resource locations. I also cleared out my own territory – but there were many opportunities to develop.
Interestingly, almost throughout the entire game, Yabarkas had more MP than Kair; in the end, he had 60 less%). On days 127, 137, and 147, apparently hungover, he forgot to split his forces, hire units of level 1, or build, losing troops, castles, and days GG, and two more records happened: first, he reached 40, then 50 in parameters (54 44 36 36), built a Grail, and sneakily killed the enemy scout, which somehow defeated a near-maxed Consul alone%. This became the last straw, and the opponent quit.
